Benefits of Cinnamon

Why Chew B-Fresh Cinnamon Gum?

B-Fresh products are all-natural products made in the U.S. Our products offer many health benefits, including being diabetic-safe, kosher, vegan and gluten free. Aside from the great long-lasting taste, there are many health benefits to chewing B-Fresh Cinnamon gum. Recent studies have heralded the benefits of cinnamon.

The US Agricultural Research Service nutrition labs have found that cinnamon has a positive effect on insulin sensitivity. This is due to the fact that cinnamon allows cells to be more accepting to insulin. This occurs because of the methylhydroxy chalcone polymer that is found in cinnamon. The study also found that this polymer lowers blood pressure for those with Type II diabetes and also prevents damaging oxygen radicals from forming.1

Studies have also found that cinnamon benefits in the treatment of stomach disorders and fights bacteria. Cinnamon has many antibacterial capabilities and in particular is known to fight E. coli bacteria. Cinnamon acts as a digestive aid and can relive gas and bloating, and treat diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.2

Research also suggests that cinnamon lowers triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, and total cholesterol. Researchers believe that cinnamon may help prevent or control elevated lipid and glucose levels.3 Other benefits of cinnamon have been researched and include a wide array of advantages. One advantage is that cinnamon is known to constrict and tone muscles. In addition, cinnamon supports digestive function, relieves congestion, relieves pain and stiffness of muscles and joints, relieves menstrual discomfort and helps prevent urinary tract infections. Cinnamon has also been found to contain blood thinning compounds that stimulate circulation and anti-inflammatory compounds that researchers believe could potentially relieve arthritis. Another benefit of cinnamon, which goes hand in hand with B-Fresh’s already patented formula, is that cinnamon helps prevent tooth decay and gum disease.4
